Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 is a B vitamin found chiefly in animal foods and added to many meal shakes, protein products, and multivitamins; labels give it in micrograms and %DV per serving. It is a common fortification because plant-based and lower-appetite diets can run short on it. We report the dose and any third-party verification factually. Whether you personally need supplemental B12 — and how much — is a question for your clinician, ideally informed by bloodwork, not by a shake's label.
