Sodium
Sodium is the primary electrolyte lost in sweat, and it is the headline number in most hydration mixes, ranging from under 200mg to around 1,000mg per serving. More is not universally better: needs depend on sweat rate, climate, and activity, and anyone managing blood pressure has a specific reason to watch total sodium. We report the milligrams per serving straight from the label and state that individual sodium targets — especially on any medication or with hypertension — are a clinician conversation, not something a drink mix decides for you.
